What a strange and sometimes scary world it is we live in. The last few years have been challenging for so many of us and you may be looking for help navigating emotions, stressors, life changes, and/or alternative coping mechanisms that are simply no longer working. For some of us, these barriers are not new, and you have been longing for some guidance for some time now. Whether you are just looking for someone to talk to, uncover unhealthy coping habits, dealing with painful life experiences, or a host of other burdens, I hope to help you through your journey. I am a graduate student working toward my license as an LMFT with over twenty years experience in the medical field as a registered nurse. My own life struggles, vast years of experience in emergency medicine, love for psychology and compassion and understanding I hold for all has led me to my career as a therapist. Your life experiences have made you who you are today, and I am excited to hear about your hopes, dreams, and fears so that we can unravel what is important to you and your goals in a judgement free space. My services will be offered at no cost for a short period so let’s get started on your next step. I look forward to meeting you and working with you.

I am a certified facilitator, public speaker, and life coach. I am very passionate about healthy relationships, domestic violence prevention and treatment. I am a certified facilitator through San Bernardino probation providing group classes for Domestic violence, anger management, and parenting/child abuse. I have served as a keynote speaker for events centered around domestic violence, gang prevention, and fostering healthy relationships. I love working with our youth and focus on helping them form and keep healthy relationships in their families and beyond. I believe the key to prevention is education and advocacy. I am blessed to be able to provide this through my work with New Horizons as well as Unity Home, Yucca Valley. Through my work with Unity home, I provide support, education, and vital services for women and children that are victims of domestic violence and abuse. I offer life coaching, healthy relationship education, youth services and mentoring, and keynote speaking for events. My pricing is on a sliding scale, and I offer donation-based services so that I can reach the greatest populations in need. Let's break the cycle of abuse in your family and grow together by building quality, positive, healthy relationships in your life and your family.

Thanks for visiting my web page for New Horizons Counseling. In the most recent years of my career, I became interested in the power of the Brain-Focused research and the power of understanding how our internal executive-situationally focused brain, can allow us to direct our attention in multiple variations and solve problems. Co-Parenting program started here at New Horizons in May of 2010. At that time, I was working as a therapist generally serving individuals, couples, and families.   We have come a long way in the last 10 years, and I focus on small groups and often receive recommendations from the courts to assist people to improve communications, to review and update current perceptions, and improve interpersonal relationship skills for the healthy psychological development of their children. Divorce or single parenthood is hard on everyone- but it was not the children’s fault that the adults could not get along. As of July 2021, the intake fee for the 12 classes of the program is 35.00 which includes 2 court letters- one at intake and another at completion; 12 weekly program outline handouts; and a Certificate of Completion at the last class. Class attendance is recorded per class fee of 25.00 (cash) with a weekly receipt, for the remaining 11 classes. Completion of classes is required to receive the Certificate and final letter to the court records. Clients always receive a copy of their individual class attendance and all communications to the court. The total program cost is $310.00 per person. Couples are always invited.
