The relationship and connection which a client and therapist develop between them is the single biggest factor for successful psychotherapy. I am of the belief that therapy should not be a forever journey, but rather an opportunity to become introspective and explore the path which is right for you personally. I have an extensive background working especially with children, adolescents and their families who are navigating the often confused feelings and emotions surrounding such topics as divorce, blended families, emotional and physical abuse, anger management, bullying, self-esteem, self-confidence, depression and anxiety. Common diagnosis for this demographic can include: ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Anger Management, Grief, Child Abuse/Neglect, Bipolar Disorder, Depression and Anxiety, to name but a few. My background working with school districts, crisis centers, TAY centers, battered women and children facilities, CFS and CPS court referrals and children of foster care have provided me with the opportunity to assist and guide my clients in discovering their strengths, weaknesses and ultimately that inner-self or person within, who most needs their love and attention. You will find that I am honest and direct in my approach to therapy, utilizing a Solutions Focused and CBT modality to address my client’s needs and to achieve their personal goals for positive mental health.
